I would like to introduce myself. My name is Peter van Nederpelt. I am a professional EDP-auditor. I am working for the Dutch Government. In the auditing domain I have a professional interest for the phenomena of supervision. I am the author of the Supervision Guide.

This Internet page shows how one can find efficiently a Dutch supervision organisation in the Supervision Guide. And, how one acquires a quick overview on all supervision organisations in the Dutch domain.

Some earlier efforts have been made to acquire an overview in the inspection domain. Existing publications inform us partly on supervision and portray mainly recommendations for the improvement of the inspection process. However, a complete overview of all the supervision organisations in the public domain is still missing in the Netherlands.

What are the main investigations that have been executed concerning supervision organisations in the Netherlands?

	In April 2005 the Foundation for Economic Research of the University of Amsterdam (SEO) published the report “Nederland Toezichtland” (Holland Land of Supervision). In this publication various names of supervision organisations are just enumerated. It is an impressive and extended list. However, corporate details on the various supervision organisations are not included in the report.
	In 2004 the Commission for Integration and Simplification of Supervision in the Public Domain composed the report “Beter Bestuurlijk Toezicht” (Improved Administrative Supervision). This investigation limits itself to supervision in organisations as independent administrative organisations (“ZBO’s”), legal entities with a legal task (RWT’s) and agencies appointed by the government (“agentschappen”).
	The Administrative Commission on Supervision I en II came in conclusive reports with high level recommendations for the improvement of the quality of supervision in the public domain. However, the commission investigated just a limited number of supervision organisations.
